Sex, drugs & country: Willie vs. Urban

Old country meets new country this week when legendary troubador Willie Nelson visits Missoula for a concert at Big Sky Brewery (Friday, Sept. 9) and popular pretty boy Keith Urban takes the Adams Center stage (Wednesday, Sept. 14). Battle lines will be drawn by those in cowboy boots and 10-gallon hats as the debate rages over the merits of Nelson’s “outlaw country” and Urban’s “bad-boy country rock,” a multigenerational scramble that will no doubt cover everything from Nelson’s scrapes with the law to Urban’s naked pictorials and whether cocaine or weed provides a more valuable career “high.” Fear not, hometown hillbillies, the Indy is here to help you sort out this confusing collision of country stardom.
