Logging continues on the Rattlesnake Recreation Area’s Sawmill II Fuels Reduction Project Wednesday morning, despite recent vandalism that rendered the logging equipment inoperable. Lolo National Forest officials also noted human fecal matter near the equipment, and suspect the vandalism may be an act of protest. The Society of American Foresters and the local Sierra Club both support the 754-acre project.
