A 27-spot campground spread over six acres on the banks of the West Fork of the Bitterroot River. The campground is near the historic town of Alta, the first ranger station in the United States. There's access to water and restrooms, as well as a garbage removal service. Pets are allowed but dogs must remain leashed. The camping fee is $8 per day, with a 14-day limit.
