Re: “Oil and water

If they can't make them WAY closer to absolutely leak proof . . . pipelines are a joke!

Re: “Wildlife

Totally disgusting . . . first we shoot them, then we trap them, then we snare them and now this. We are becoming evermore uncivilized heathens. De-evolving. I am embarrassed to be an American. I really am.

Re: “Trapping

I have come to the conclusion that "democracy" does not exist in Montana. The last election was a sham. If you Montana bigots want to ruin what you have you are surely on the fast tract in that direction . . . but, of course, it WILL NOT be YOUR fault when is happens and all you have are deer and squirrels to be enamored with.

Re: “Never-ending story

I'm pretty sure the guy wants the power (he apparently already has a generator - I ask) to subdivide, although no one is saying. I called the City of Columbia Falls and they told me it is a 40 acre land trust . . . which I believe he can subdivide out to family members. The CFalls Aluminum Plant even said NO to letting them run power across their property and across the river to this guy . . . this HOUSE should have never been built PERIOD.

Re: “Never-ending story

probably didn't get a building permit . . just built it . . .many do it in Montana. There is a house right across from me on the Flathead . . .right in the floodplain . .. would have been underwater in 1997. Now since no one will let him fun electric power up HIS SIDE of the river to the place (which shouldn't be there - place should be a state park or something/ wildlife reserve - eagles/elk/deer) he wants someone on our side of the river to give permission to run a Flathead Electric line UNDER THE RIVER to his place. Eight Flathead Electric employees showed up at my place and tried to STRONGARM me into letting them do such a ludicrous thing across my property, I went inside and called my neighbors. After doing some research it apparently comes down to one persons say (Norm Someone at the DNRC) on whether they go ahead with the project across another one of my neightbors land and across the river if they (FEC) give him enough money and perks (park out his river bank . . . Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle Habitate) he is going to let them do it . . . IF Norman says it is ok. This is just wrong, wrong, wrong . . . Montana is being ruined and Montanans are just letting it happen!

Re: “Fur furor

Mr. Olson . . . what the heck did you expect, you brilliant-guy-you . . . just like all the other brilliant folks who work for the Montana FWP's . . . .I call and ask what they did with a 40 year old snapping turtle they captured and was told 'well, we normally destroy these turtles because they are a public safety hazard and salmonella risks etc,
BUT . . . in this case we let someone take it to EAT it'. No lie . . . an actual conversation I had with FWP personnel at the Kalispell office a few months ago. Hope whoever got it got a near lethal case of salmonella! I can't believe we shoot the wolves let alone TRAP anything . . . being inhumane to animals is NOT ANY BETTER THAN BEING inhuman to people. We humans have evidently learned nothing . . . ever!
