Re: “Neo-Nazis say they're coming to Whitefish. Time to send in the clowns.

Looks as if they're planning to come to town on 1/15. MLK's birthday. How contemptible.

As far as fighting absurdity with absurdity... I've got an idea. The town is called Whitefish, so how about fighting their so-called "white supremacy" with "fish supremacy". Finheads against skinheads! Fish-shaped hats, maybe costumes (hopefully large enough to fit bullet-proof vests on underneath), throwing rotten fish on the ground in front of them for them to walk through, putting huge tangles of fishing line in their path, and many more ideas which will bait them into doing something that'll get them behind bars -- which is where these scum belong.

Or maybe not. It's just an idea that popped into my head. But I thought it was worth mentioning.

Hopefully they will wuss out and not show. That would be a victory for civilization. But just in case they do show, give 'em hell!!

Re: “With Harlan Wells' exit, the city looks for a replacement. Could be almost anyone.

I think the only two requirements for being selected are living in Ward 2 and sucking up to the City Council's disastrous agenda as much as possible.

Re: “Neo-Nazis say they're coming to Whitefish. Time to send in the clowns.

What a piece of "fake news" garbage. "Neo nazi" is a caricature created by Jewish controlled Hollywood to denigrate nationalism, the hated arch nemesis to judea.

@Indy Staff why have you failed to mention that jewess, Tanya Gersh tried to extort Mrs Sherry Spencer of her accommodation building in Whitefish? Why have you failed to mention that Tanya Gersh had tied up with laughably named "Love Lives Here"? LLH is run by Rabbis pushing typically degenerate LGBT, miscgeneration and mass third world immigration debates under the guise of "Love". Why did you fail to mention this?

@Indy Staff these Jews tried to commit extortion. They got called out for it and white people are standing up as a collective group to march as a protest against this failed Jewish extortion attempt.

Why no mention of the attempted extortion by these Jews Indy Staff?

Re: “"Bagging Bunnies" sparks blowback in Bozeman

Because we have a President who admitted to sexual predatory behavior, women have said "this is the final straw". We have to speak out to protect our children - they need to know that this type of behavior is neither funny nor "ok". Expect to see women speak up more on all topics of hate and aggression. We've had enough.

Re: “Council crowdsources tax relief with 'Betty's Fund'

Well alf when the city and it's master plan for sidewalks comes to my neighborhood to take my property I will expect you to be there with your wallet wide open to help share in the bleeding.

The story in the Missoulian about the cost of housing here made no mention of of the roll taxes play which I think is just giving a pass to city government and how they can't seem to say no to any project and bond issue that comes their way. The mayor once stated it was his job to find more revenue for the city and if some get taxed out of their homes in this quest it seems to not bother him much. It's time for some fiscal responsibility and belt tightening in city government.

Re: “With the Dakota Access pipeline tabled by the Corps, what's next at Standing Rock?

Neither of the methods are safe or a reasonable substitute for the other! This issue has arisen around the extraction of fossil fuels from tar sands and other sources and the subsequent increase in need for transportation. This is not an either/or decision as BOTH METHODS HAVE PROVEN DISASTROUS FOR COMMUNITIES AND THE ENVIRONMENT!

Re: “Council crowdsources tax relief with 'Betty's Fund'

More convoluted progressive logic. OK yes we're sucking your blood. But look, we're setting up a blood donation center to help you out. We care.

As someone once said "IT'S THE SPENDING STUPID!!!! That's the bleeding you STOP!

Re: “Council crowdsources tax relief with 'Betty's Fund'

People helping people they may not even know because its the right thing to do = altruism, and Missoula seems to be pretty good at that.

Ayn Rand wrote, "Capitalism and altruism are incompatible; they are philosophical opposites; they cannot co-exist in the same man or in the same society.

Of the two, I prefer altruism, and yes, when the majority in a community decides they want to better the entire community, it means that the entire community will share the cost, and unless private funding can be found (as in the case of "Betty's Fund") taxes will usually go up, unfortunately. It's like insurance, where the risk is spread to a larger pool.

Re: “Council crowdsources tax relief with 'Betty's Fund'

Missoula is the most taxed city in the state. I'm not sure where that money is going. The City Council isnt either, its why they just called for more transparency in the budgeting process.

This feel-good band-aid the City Council is trying isnt even a short-term solution. Its clear the citys tax politics are terrible, and hurting people terribly.

Municipal elections are next year. Vote these bums out. Remember, not a single incumbent ran for reelection last time, so terrible of a job they all did. Now if the mayor would do the same.

Re: “With the Dakota Access pipeline tabled by the Corps, what's next at Standing Rock?

In response to the comment below.... The pipeline in the Yellowstone was very old, very shallow and doesn't even compare in quality and safety compared to the state of the art pipeline that will go under the river north of the Rez in ND. There are thousands of river and stream pipeline crossings in the US. And yes, many of them are very old and may need replaced. But can you imagine if all those billions of barrels of oil had to be hauled by rail tankers?? That would be a disaster with the extra emissions, chances of derailments, and the staggering amount of rail traffic going through populated areas. No brainer!!!

Re: “With the Dakota Access pipeline tabled by the Corps, what's next at Standing Rock?

Wow you really drank the cool aid! Where were you when the pipeline leaked oil into the Yellowstone River! That one was "safe" too. Everything is safe until it's not.

Re: “With the Dakota Access pipeline tabled by the Corps, what's next at Standing Rock?

Hopefully on Jan. 20, 2017 this will be reversed. Why would any one in their right mind think that thousands of oil tankers daily, pulled by a train, crossing the river on a bridge, would be safer than the pipeline, which will be the safest ever built?? It has high tech safety measures that will shut down the flow immediately if there is a leak anywhere on the system. A bunch of closed minded yoyos who have nothing to do but protest. And I bet my bottom dollar at least 80% of the natives protesting don't work (and may never have worked), and have sucked off of taxpayer money all their lives. The reservation system has done nothing but keep most natives in poverty at the expense of the working taxpayer.

Re: “Engen's return

I briefly lived in "rape Nation" Missoula Montana and I have to say I have4 never lived in such a morally corrupt, misogynist, racist city. I have lived all over the world. No surprise the city is liberal/democrat. The University of Montana is another embarrassment to the State Of Montana, Academia and living the ethical life.

You have a liberal City with an epidemic of rape, drunk driving, pandering to the "Holy" mediocre untalented football players that this tiny city puts on the field every fall. A City which has one of the largest Rape Crisis Centers and spousal abuse centers and yet it is a tiny town. What a shock that a liberal city would support the enabling wife of a serial rapist Hillary Clinton. The city and University both who are led by Egomaniacal liberals.

This is a city where they are in denial about the serious problems of alcoholism, meth, suicide, misogyny and Bigotry. While Missoula puts on this faade of being a caring city that embraces all cultures. The facts tell the opposite, It is a city that lacks Blacks and Hispanics in top position in Business. It is a city that allows a driver to plow down High School girls. He served less than a year and a few months . Two of the girls Ashley Patenaude, 14, and 15-year-old Taylor Cearley died instantly and two others were hospitalized with injuries. Teal Packard, 14, is recovering at St. Patrick Hospital. The fourth girls name was not released, although she has been released from the hospital.

All Missoula Liberals give Victims is symbolism over substance Vigils. while David James DelSignore the man who was 29 when he plowed down these two girls is again on the street. Missoula is a city that must have alcohol at every event. I remember taking my one year old to a kids event downtown and alcohol was served at the event in the park. You have a city council member who just a few years ago was cited for a DUI. The City Council member denied she was drunk. Denial is a part of the M.O. for Missoulians who seem to be looking at life through rose colored glasses.

Chase Callen, a candidate in Ward 5,(sounds like he could be a drinking buddy of Bill Clinton) was charged with felony burglary in Missoula on Aug. 27, 2012, and pleaded not guilty two days later. (what a shock) (All women who accuse men in Missoula of violence, rape, sexual abuse, must be lying)
Arresting documents alleged he kicked in a screen on the third floor of a sorority house near the University of Montana campus at 3:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning. Also, In January 2011, Callen was also arrested for DUI "per se. Proving a DUI per se in Montana doesn't require proof of impairment, only that an individuals blood alcohol level was 0.08 or greater at the time of driving.

Missoula law enforcement has had to deal with a number of high-speed chases recently, each of which involved a number of felony charges. Missoula County Deputy Attorney Jason Marks says that it appears meth use may be a common theme.

I left Missoula with my family because I did not want to raise my son in a city that allowed crime to go unchecked and a City that put College Football players before the safety of women. I at a previous time in my life won awards as a director for my anti drug and rape awareness public service announcements. I sent presentation to the University of Montana and others ports teams urging them to Run Rape Awarene
ss PSA'S at all sports events in Missoula. This obviously did not go over well. The University actually told me. "We do not have a problem with sexual assault" Along with not having a drug epidemic, a homeless epidemic, a serious problem with misogyny and sexual abuse?

The City of Missoula, Montana, The powers that be in Government, Media, Sports, Academia
have been spinning so long that the city must be too dizzy to grasp the truth.

Re: “Engen's return

What is going on with this guy? (He's our own Zootown version of Rob Ford, without the cocaine.) So much for transparency in government! And what's up with The Missoulian disabling its comments section on the relevant article on him in yesterday's paper? (Nice move guys. Don't you wish you had someone as "in the bag" for you as these guys were for him yesterday?) Precipitating event? Was it domestic? Was there and/or some other incident at the airport? Also, did the drinking effect this whole spiraling downward situation with the water company? (Mark my words, citizens of Missoula, we're going to be paying long and hard, and "through the nose" for a lifetime--through our rates and paying back bonded indebtedness for this personal Tinkertoy/obsession!) The spending, even so far, on this is like that of a drunken sailor! And, lastly, does he have no shame, already lining up his 2017 mayoral run? (Is there truly "something in the water" on this point? Talk about pol blood running through your veins.) From what I've seen, half of Missoula has already forgiven this guy--without all the facts. Be compassionate folks, but, as they say folks, don't be chumps! What a town!

Re: “Engen's return

It's apparent that the position of mayor is too overwhelming for Engen. First he can't stop a food addiction. Corrects it after tax $$$$ cover his operation. Now for alcohol abuse. Also complements from tax $$$$$. What will be his next psychological demon? For his own health, those who love him and the Missoulians who he claims he loves and is dedicated to, he should resign.
