Re: “In Idaho, a hunter finds a sad state of affairs for bears

This is revolting and evil. Who would imprison wild animals n deny them their entire life of being w their own families in the wild n choosing to do what they want, where they want. Only a greedy heartless Sociopath would do this to another living being. This should be stopped IMMEDIATELY and all the animals turned over to good, responsible sanctuaries w miles of acres for the animals ro roam.
This makes me sick! And angry! STOP IT NOW!!

Re: “In Idaho, a hunter finds a sad state of affairs for bears

As overcrowded as that place is, and the animals being fed such garbage, it sounds to me like some *responsible* adults (Humane Society, State fish and game, ag department ?) should be called in and shut the place down.

Places like that are inhumane and should be closed and not permitted.

But wait, this particular "attraction" is in Idaho after all, so it's OK, so long as somebody is making money from it.

Re: “Looking a TIF horse in the mouth: Is the MRA getting our money's worth at the Marriott?

This whole thing smelled fishy to me, right from the get-go, and -- recycling a line I loved by a TV talking head referring to the repuglikans' "replacement" of ObummerCare -- "like a dead fish, the longer it lays aground, the worse it stinks".

Never trust a real estate developer/speculator -- and let's not forget that's what Drumpf and his corrupt family are.)

Me thinks one of the last things Missoula needs is another chain hotel, where the profits go out of state to the korporate executives and investors, and all that's left here are crappy-paying service jobs.

It's a good thing award-winning journalist D.Brooks is asking tough questions here because the Independent's color-clashing ads, scrolling news feed, and style guide that doesn't include capitalizing nouns which will be later abbreviated (TIF) have left me mentally decimated.
