Montana native snags "Extreme Huntress" title

Posted By on Wed, Jan 5, 2011 at 2:33 PM

Montana native Angie Haas-Tennison, who the Indy profiled in November, found out Sunday that she snagged the title of the nation’s “Extreme Huntress.”

“I’m as diehard as any woman out there,” she told the Indy in November. “And I'm willing to bet on it.”

That confidence paid off. The Daily Inter Lake reports that a producer of the show "Primal Adventures," which held the competition, called Haas-Tennison Sunday night to share the news that she beat out nine other women competing from across the country. She garnered 4,040 votes cast online between Nov. 1 and Jan. 1, beating the nearest competition by nearly 1,300 votes.

Haas-Tennison now claims the badass title and a New Zealand hunting trip that will air on Versus in a future "Primal Adventures" episode.
