Wilderness Institute Citizen Monitoring: Mount Tiny and Lamarche Creek
Thu., Aug. 8, Fri., Aug. 9, Sat., Aug. 10 and Sun., Aug. 11 2013
This summer, the Wilderness Institute, in cooperation with the Forest Service, will take small groups of volunteers into the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness. Volunteers will work with experienced field leaders to map and monitor weeds, inventory recreation impacts, and evaluate wilderness character. Join us in the backcountry of this spectacular Wilderness. Learn about invasive species, monitoring methods, native plants, and the natural history and wildlife of these majestic landscapes. Backcountry experience is helpful but not necessary. Dinners are provided daily. Transportation is available from Missoula and towns in the study area vicinity. Register ahead of time at email@example.com.
