Serving as a five-days-late finale to Missoula’s Independence Day fireworks display, a 390-acre grass fire galloped up Mount Sentinel on the evening of July 9. Throughout the city, gawkers gathered on street corners, bridges and hilltops to watch the blaze as it burned through the night.
