Part of the Wilderness Institute's Lecture Series, Wilderness on the Edge: The Emerging Roles of Wild Lands in Changing Landscapes. This series explores our definitions of wilderness across landscapes, communities, political frameworks, and scientific investigations. We will hear stories from people who manage large landscapes, live near wilderness areas, and study species that roam across our political boundaries of wilderness. This series will challenge us to reexamine our definition of wilderness, and encourage us to imagine future wild lands outside the scope of our contemporary frameworks for wilderness management.
