The band performs as fully geared-out Orthodox-style rabbis: black suit, beard with peyos, tallis and black hat. Recognizable instrumental versions of classic holiday tunes such as “Oh Hanukkah” and “Dreidel, Dreidel” abound. While the band’s original tunes have the same sort of cheeky sound as the aforementioned tracks, they aren’t exactly offering groundbreaking surf music. That said, they are still more entertaining than Adam Sandler’s “Hanukkah Song.” But if you’re like me, an unabashed clarinet hater, MBP’s version of “Hava Nagila” might make those eight crazy nights a whole lot more bearable
