Logan State Park comprises 18 acres on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake, and serves as a launching point for exploration of an adjacent 3,000 acres, including Upper, Middle, and Lower Thompson lakes, which are connected by channels.
Fishing is typically good on the Thompson chain of lakes, and swimming, boating, and water skiing are popular in season. A concrete boat ramp and dock accommodate power boats, and canoes and kayaks are easily put in. The park site itself is thickly forested with western larch, Douglas fir, and ponderosa pine.
Logan contains 36 RV/trailer campsites (30-foot maximum), and one tent-only site. The park features flush toilets, an RV dump station, fire rings with grills, picnic tables, showers, and drinking water. Firewood is available for purchase.
