Happiest Hour

Draught Works and Zimorino's Partnership

What's the word: New best friends Draught Works and Zimorino's Red Pies have teamed up to bring you a double dose of delight. Every Monday at Draught Works Brewery, from 5 to 8 p.m., you can enjoy your favorite beers like Clothing Optional Pale Ale or Shadow Caster Alt and order a $5 medium pizza that Zimorino's will deliver to your table. Draught Works kicked off the new partnership June 11 with live music from Mudfoot and the Dirty Soles, the blues-rock band of Zimorino's owner Bob Zimorino. "We got run over by it," says Draught Works co-owner Paul Marshall. "We thought it would be a good night, but it turned out to be a great night."

What it tastes like: Draught Works is now featuring their Paradise Found Summer English Ale, which partners deliciously with Zimorino's popular Zootown pie. The light-bodied beer is refreshing without overpowering your pallet, allowing you to savor the pie loaded with meatballs, Italian sausage, cream cheese, roasted red peppers and mozzarella. The Monday special also allows you to personalize your pizza by picking up to eight toppings.

How to find it: Draught Works Brewery is nestled behind Warehouse Mall on 915 Toole Ave. Heading east from Toole and Broadway, follow Toole for three blocks, crossing the intersection of Toole and Scott streets. Draught Works will be on your right. If you get lost, just follow the smell of pizza.
