The cold, windy, rainy weather recently is nature's not-so-subtle way of sending us a message. Yes, fall is just around the corner, but more importantly it's Griz football season. If you're looking for a place to catch UM's away game against Eastern Washington tomorrow evening, look no further than this sneak peek of next week's Happiest Hour.
This week: The Press Box
Atmosphere: If the maroon-and-silver clad football players painted all around the building don’t tip you off, be warned: This is Griz country. The University of Montana’s Washington-Grizzly Stadium sits just across the Clark Fork River, and for fans who don’t have a ticket during football season, the Press Box is the next best place to get your team spirit on. Griz memorabilia crowds every wall in the place, from vintage posters to signed photos of former star athletes. According to bartender MacKenzie Lemcke, fall usually brings bleachers’ full of customers looking for a healthy helping of food and, of course, drinks. “The people that come here are great,” Lemcke says. “They make the atmosphere.”
