Hockaday Museum of Art
Now on display: Paintings and Prints, a retrospective of Western art by Montana artist and Charlie Russell protégé Ace Powell. Also, The Montana Gathering of Artists, a display of work by four Gathering members. Plus, Flathead Clay, a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Charlie Bray Foundation, currently exhibiting the work of clay artist Charles Davis. Next, Equine Illustrations, recently discovered illustrations by Eleanor Iselin Wade. Also, Wildlife Photographs by Mark Hulslander, as well as prints, paintings and objets d’art by Featured Flathead artist Julie Wulf. All shows on view through Jan. 27. Finally, A Montana Treasure: The Poindexter Collection of the Montana Historical Society, an exhibit of abstract expressionist works, including paintings by Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock.
