Art Museum of Missoula

Miriam Schapiro: Works on Paper, a Thirty Year Retrospective, an exhibition of work by a pioneer of feminist art. The show is on view in all galleries through Nov. 24. At 335 North Pattee. Call 728-0447.

University Center Gallery

Wood Works, a show of carved wood sculptures by UM graduate student Roger Wing. Opening reception and slide presentation by the artist this Friday, Oct. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. On display through Nov. 12. On the second floor at the University Center. Call 243-4991.

UC North Lounge

UM’s Gallery of Visual Arts

Masalai I Kapsaitim, a collection of work from Papua New Guinea and the work of Steven and Bev Beck-Glueckert. The pair traveled throughout Papua New Guinea in 1998. At UM’s Social Science Building. Call 243-2813.

Henry Meloy Gallery

Weaving For Freedom, a collection of contemporary Dineh Navajo Rugs from a non-profit art collective in Arizona. Also in the gallery are photographs by Lisa Law as part of her Tribal Vision show. Both shows run through Dec. 1. Call 243-2019.
