Freestone is a bouldering facility in Missoula that does not have top rope climbing. It's a social place; no partner, special training, or equipment needed. Except chalk. Bring chalk. Freestone offers 2,000 square feet of climbing, 14 to 16-foot walls, top-outs, and 10-inch deep foam flooring, which is nice for when you take an unexpected spill.
Freestone also has weights and aerobic equipment on-sight, as well as a slackline. Kids can come, too, and monkey up their own wall, complete with a slide. Freestone offers bouldering classes as well, and attracts a strong sense of community.
