1-3 PM, Ages: 7-11
Inspired by Scottish installation artist Andy Goldsworthy and centuries of primitive art, this camp is designed to find form and pattern in humble materials. Rocks, twigs, twine, and grass are used to make organic sculptures and provide surfaces to paint and embellish. Campers will use tools and various techniques to arrange natural objects creating their own installations. Drawing and painting will also be part of this class. Campers will consider contrast, surface, and color and enjoy the creative freedom of manipulating resources that are under their feet and in their backyards.
