Alpine Theatre's production of Hedwig and the Angry Itch
The Alpine Theatre Project waits until the hot days of August to spice things up with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the story of a rock band fronted by an East German transgender singer. It's all steeped in the androgynous 1970s David Bowie era, and the story is both gleefully trashy and sweetly moving. Catch it at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center, 600 E.
