What part of support, protect, and defend the Constitution is so hard to understand?

We have the greatest gift from God (oops, sorry for the bad word) in the form of our Constitutional Republic(s). The central government and the individual states enjoy the blessings of this form of government.

Our constitutions are to secure our already in-place, God given (oops, there I go again) rights, that if left unchecked, governments by their very nature, attempt to take away.

And, it most definitely is not a right if it creates an obligation on another individual.

By the way, if you are an able bodied citizen of Montana, you are a member of the militia (dang, there I go again, another bad word).

Montana Constitution Article VI, Section 13, paragraph 2:
The militia forces shall consist of all able-bodied citizens of the state except those exempted by law.

Do your research and learn about the real militia and what its intent was, and still is.

An unexercized right soon becomes a lost right!

I, too, would like to congratulate this paper for presenting both sides of this topic.

I am writing as the Director of Montana Oath Keepers and also as a friendly acquaintance of Sheriff Richard Mack, with whom I just visited last month at the national Oath Keepers conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. I would like to see anyone in MHRN put down in writing the MHRN's legal interpretations which would expose Sheriff Mack as being in error when he states that the County Sheriff is the highest law-enforcement officer in any County.

Okay let me preface this by stating these criticisms are coming from someone a little to the left of Noam Chomsky, and that I have the highest respect for MHRN and the Indy, who both do great work.

That said: I'm not convinced.

I don't see anything here that really shows me these people are a danger at all. The bumper stickers promoting "right wing extremism" are the typical quotations from long dead slave-owners that even some liberals might slap on their car.

Well, I voted for Nader (who was on the ballot in Montana last time - the Green Party wasn't, thanks to Baucus's henchmen and their Stalinist tactics of punishing anyone who even looked like they might vote Green). These people are correct - there are just as few good, REAL Republicans as there are real Democrats (who actually believe in democracy, as Nader describes in a recent post from Common Dreams - http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/10/2… ).
Conservatives should have voted for Ron Paul last time, because he was on the ballot for the Constitution Party.
