It's hard to get a decent movie about Native Americans made. A friend of mine did an award winning screenplay,"Without Consent ", a true story which never saw the light of day. It was a David and Goliath story about an Indian rancher in North Dakota who sees his land taken by Congress for a dam that flooded every town on his reservation and scattered its inhabitants. Ironically, 30 years later, his youngest son returns as legal counsel with Stanford and Yale law degrees, and restores his tribes legal rights. His tribe was awarded hundreds of millions of dollars for the unjust taking of land by Congress.
