Hi Rj,
Thanks for bringing this up. Mr. Garoutte told me that landowners are receiving between $4500 and $5500 per mile of pipeline through their property, which he feels is not nearly enough for an easement in perpetuity. Garoutte's words were: "Seems like a pretty short amount of money, doesn't it? You can't even overhaul a motor in a pickup for that."
