I wonder how many of the supporters of the name would actually walk up to a living breathing human and say "Hello, Redskin". Of course one would never ever do that to a Native American, (at least I would hope not). Most people are so much better than that. Or at least they are more prudent and not so rude as that. But when they are allayed with tradition and the sense of communal thinking they are more than willing to sacrifice their basic human decency, and proclaim that they are victims of political correctness. But think about what you are actually telling people with your mascot, and if that is the type of people you want to proclaim your community to be.
