This whole story just doesn't ring true. It doesn't pass the plausibility test for sounding reasonable. A dog came in covered in bloody feces? What does that even mean? Are you trying to say that this dog magically pooped a solid turd into his own hair and was brought to the shelter with said turd still intact, and sat still while you inspected it and saw lines of blood mixed in... Or are you saying that a very dirty stray dog was brought to the pound. By the way, who brought the dog in anyway?
Dog flu? Have you SERIOUSLY been working in a shelter for over 13 years and that's the best you can describe parvo?
You expect all the remaining animals to be rounded up by July 21? How the hell did you possibly even come up with that date? Sounds more like you've decided to blame every stray dog you find on the Rainbow Folk until that date. BTW, this article wasn't published until the 22nd...
Thirteen dogs over, what, 3-4 weeks? How many strays came in last year over those 3 weeks? And how many dogs were already in the shelter... I mean, obviously you have enough strays locally to warrant a shelter... Otherwise, why would you have a shelter? Another commenter said she knows Susie Brown personally and she took this job over a higher paying job at a kill-shelter. So are there TWO shelters in this town? I'm not sure I heard you the first time, how many strays did you say you typically have? But these particular 13 are leftover by those irresponsible 10,000 people who don't take care of their dogs. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH. Okay. Gotcha.
