Susie does everything in her power, with minimal support and resources, as many know, Dillon is not a huge community. I am grateful to her for all of her efforts. She turned down a better paying job, and possibly a more comfortable life because she refused to work for a "kill" shelter. That shows a lot of heart! I adopted my dog, Cooper, from the Beaverhead County Humane Society, and under Susie's care, he had a place to stay where he was fed, sheltered, and well cared for. My dog was so afraid to be there, as he was an owner turn-in, that she would take him home a few nights a week, and allow him to be a part of her own home when she didn't have to. I owe Susie much of my happiness for connecting me with my most loyal and loving companion. She deserves a lot of credit for what she does that many people do not see. Taking care of animals for a living does not reward people with a day off, it's a lot like being a parent in some ways. Thanks for all you do Susie!! You are appreciated!
