It's amazing, Congress offered in writing $8 Billion for settlement in 2008, but the Cobell class counsel turned it down. They settled for $3.4 Billion. There's no math that supports that rationale. The lead attorney, Dennis Gingold, withdrew from the case on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. People keep saying at least it's an admission of wrong, and it's something better than nothing. Is it? The settlement means that anything that happened in the past cannot be held against the U.S. If you can live with that, then it's a good deal.
