I agree with your column that we have essentially screwed ourselves with the upcoming Trump presidency. Hillary certainly is qualified to be an exceptional president but with the Russian hacking and then Director Comey sending his last minute letter to Congress over nothing, she was done in. Three states previously Democratic and ignored by the Democrats turned their backs on her by little more than 80,000 votes.
As a Republican Congress revokes the Affordable Care Act and Medicare goes to a voucher system and Social Security is threatened, millions will feel politically scammed. Trump and the Republican party will be responsible even though they lie about three systems that are working and can be tweaked to improve and last longer financially.
No to bicycles in wilderness. What's the point when traveling so fast through some of America's most beautiful scenery. Just last weekend while walking my dog in the Rattlesnake and passing a sign for bicyclists to yield to hikers, I was nearly hit twice. There were deep ruts and tire tracks created by bicyclists when the trails are naturally muddy from snow melt or rain. It was disturbing and showed an attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for a beautiful area that so many enjoy near Missoula.
OMG this is what we can expect from Daines. Vote for Curtis.
Wonderful article. Thank you for laying out all the facts.
The Bloomberg National Poll of adults 18 and over showed that 40% of Tea Party supporters are 55 or older, compared with 32% of all poll respondents; 79% are white, 61% are men and 44% identify as "born-again Christians". I don't think "slightly more educated" is an accurate description of his membership especially when they are being used by Americans for Prosperity to cut the taxes of their founding billionaire members Charles and David Koch.
The first comment is right on the money. Thank you.
I totallly agree with Dr. Kress and the right of every Montanan faced with a terminal illness to consult with their physician regarding end-of-life decisions and seek assistance. HB 505 is yet another attempt by Republicans to inpose their outrageous values into law. Republicans need to stop meddling in people's private lives.
