Re: “Nobody wins

Typical one-sided Leftist rant. You Democrat-socialist-communist types want same-day registration to get more ineligible people voting and their votes counted. Absent voter fraud, the unaccountable, lawless, oath-breaking Kenyan would not be president vying for position as King and High Ruler. Enough. Sounds like the Republicans should be commended. Sore losers are still losers.

Re: “La-la laws

By the way, if you actually read the bill, Montana does NOT seek authority over the federal government, but only authority over Montana and what happens to Montana citizens. As far as Montana is concerned, the federal government may assert whatever authority it wants over New York and New Jersey.

No right-thinking Montanan wants to tell people in other states how they must live. That's called manners. DC has lost theirs, and now we have people who live 1,000 miles away or much further telling us Montanans should go to jail for making different choices in how to live than they deem appropriate. This legislation of Marbut's looks to be simply saying, "live and let live, and please don't forget the limited powers of Congress."

Re: “La-la laws

"...we all pretty much agree that the feds are in charge."

Hardly. The individual is in charge. The feds work for us. Their job is to protect our rights, not abuse them. When the federal power becomes abusive, the employers must put them in check. Just as you must train a puppy to scratch on the door to go outside and do its business.

What we actually DO all agree on is that a puppy's piddle on the floor is less a concern than a federal power that is bringing weaponized drones to American skies, just bought 7,000 machineguns and nearly 2 billion rounds of hollow point ammunition. Yes, DHS did that recently -- and they also bought over 2,500 military armored assault vehicles. Can you say "standing army"? What are they gearing up to do, and why?

"The Republican-controlled Human Services Committee has tabled four medical marijuana bills so far this session. Decriminalizing a federally controlled substance would put Montana sheriffs cleanly in charge of law enforcement, but the GOP is not interested."

So true, and truly unfortunate. Freedom is freedom. Whether it be the freedom to own whatever firearm you please as long as you do not harm the innocent or the right to use a plant as you see fit as long as you do no harm to others, it sure would be nice if Democrats and Republicans actually cared about FREEDOM FOR EVERYONE rather than looking at freedoms as a menu of options.

But they don't. R's and D's pick and choose which freedoms they believe are "good" and abandon or even attack the rest. So more and more people are turning to the libertarian party in hopes they can oust the kooky fringe and become a viable third party rather than a spoiler.

Moral of the story: Messing with a bad woman can get a man killed.

Re: “Missed target

Gotcha. Communist propaganda programming from CNN is "evidence," but video from the scene is "garbage" and the dozens of conflicting reports against the official story are all just kooks.

You gun banners used to actually pretend you had a shred of honor and intellectual sincerity.

I miss those days.

Re: “Missed target

CJ,

Thank you for your concern about my psychological stability, but I'm fit as a fiddle.

You, however, are still in question. You are spoonfed an anti-gun lie by an anti-gun media and care so little you repeat it long after it's been proven false. The psychology behind such behavior is a condition actually has a name and a recommended treatment.

I stand by my original post unless you can provide evidence to refute any of it that is independently verfiable and able to be rationally considered.

Re: “Missed target

You had me until you said armed citizens have't stopped mass murders. The recent mall shooting in Oregon was thwarted by an armed citizen legally carrying a concealed handgun. And school principal Joel Myrick a few years ago stopped a mass murderer at his school.

So now anything else you said is questionable -- especially when you're using the radical "ban them all" gun-haters at Violence Policy Center as a source.

If I had to guess, I'd say this was written not by a hunter but by a gun banner pretending to be a hunter in order to attack semi-auto rifles.

Finally, a Bushmaster AR-15 was not used to commit any of the murders at Sandy Hook. Nor was any other rifle. That you are still telling this lie further bolsters my belief that you're not more a "hunter" than I am a man who'll ever give up a single weapon unless it's hot and empty and I'm dead.
