President Obama said in a news report that I read in Indian Country News back in April published article said - the settlement money was to be paid out to tribal members, and any changes to withhold would violate a court document. Money for scholarships and programs. I didn't read where Kerr Dam was part of the settlement too... already the tribe committed contempt of court by Not doing what the President said to do "Pay it out accordingly to it's members." Which means a 100% payout. When President Obama signed the agreement his heart was in the right place because he was thinking about the people and also about the life lost to fight this case. Eloise Cobell fought for the people. The CS&KT Tribes are only there for themselves and how fat they can get their bank account in the term they are in. Meetings were held tribal members voted for 100% payout, yet the tribes won't listen. As far a I'm concerned why vote for a selfish councilman. Kerr Dam should be owned by the tribes in 2015 unless they mismanaged the funds to buy it out is why come they need to take 71 million of the settlement money to do it. Right now there are no funds for General Assistance or other programs for the next three months. What happened to those funds. Why aren't there any funds to help the people during these hot summer months? What makes you think we can't handle our money and makes you think you are better financially qualified when the tribe has no money for people who were on general assistance. How dare you want to put half of that money into IIM accounts when the parents could use that money for a down payment on a house or land. Why are you preventing dreams coming true just because you wrecked your dream, 2015 isn't that far away go borrow on your good name to pay for Kerr Dam, don't steal what you've already stolen thank goodness for President Obama giving back to us. Please do what is right and pay out 100% money that was our ancestors and past down to the next generation. We deserve a piece of the pie lord knows how much you've taken from my family.
