YOU SAY REAL CHANGE NOT SPARE CHANGE I SAY ASK AND YE SHALL RECIEVE WHICH ONE DOES THE BIBLE AGREE WITH? God has blessed me…
its articles like this that make all homeless people look like alcoholics and its destroying people's compassion that they may have had now they assume everyone who panhandles is wanting drugs or alcohol this makes me sick
Rick is such an awesome guy he is still one of my great friends why are people so cruel I read this and it broke my heart
I miss you Joe you were a great friend to me and because of his faith in us we got off the streets he loved my son inside my tummy and he was always watchin out for me
so retarded this is just another effort from the people of Missoula and the city to get rid of the homeless instead of reach out and help them
SO FUCKED UP YOUR ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO JUDGE BY THEY WAY THEY LOOK WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU
and seriously why on earth would you trust some organization with your money personally I think the REAL CHANGE jars help people to discriminate against the homeless you can walk by them and choose not to acknowledge their existence and put some money in a jar and that means you have done your part its a bunch of bullshit if your afraid of what they plan to use the money for then why don't you buy them a sandwich or something or ask them if they have good gear like a tent or sleeping bag because anyone who has been homeless will tell you gear is something they are always in need of you get your shit stolen and the poverello is out of blankets which happens more than people think I know this from personal experience so please stop being cowards people and spare some change or buy a homeless person a sleeping bag is it that hard?
I totally disagree with the slogan real change not spare change I use to be homeless and i'm the girl who you talked to in this article and you also spoke with my man. I'm all about encouraging people to donate to the Poverello center and other homeless outreach teams but to tell someone to never give out spare change is wrong on so many levels we need a less offensive slogan it really hurts a lot of people's feelings
