Another use of bad words by the author is that wages of an $18.00 t0 $30.00 per hour are not substandard wages ! These are good to excellent starting wages. Additionally, all workers are protected thru industrially connected job injury by law ! As well as unemployment protection. So where this author (Ms. Theo Colburn) gets the information about her rant about "The Oil Patch" must come from the cess pool of her mind !!
Theo --Seek help you need it. Additionally, Montana has got along well without any input from California raised individuals who come to us from California's land of entitlement, and or graduates of it's Institutions of "Lower" Learning.
The author is obviously a biased environmentalist that paints the worst of all possible pictures that may happen (Emphasis added "MAY") without a positive comment upon what good could happen also. She states that " OSHA dosen't protect workers above ground" is a false statement which tells me where she thinks she knows so much. These comment of doom are typical Environmental scare tactics they constantly use, and yes, I might get run over tomorrow but I have a job now and it provides for me !!
Does this anti-trapping prohibit trapping of wild game by Wildlife officials ,mice, rats, and other pests that are considerd nuisiances by people who make a living off of the age old "trapping" that settled this country ?? This so called law is self serving for special interest groups like PETA ad others. People who make a living off of "Trapping" also are conservative in that they do not "over trap" an area because it means leaving a re-population specie furture. Trapping is a needed method for all of us from home owner ,rancher, farmer, city officials, government, veternarians, and many others. It is best left alone to those of us all who might need it from time to time.
We now have by latest count 625 Wolves in Montana, costing us mIllions of Tax payer dollars over the last 23 years since "Wolf Re introduction". This has been a exorbiant loss if we expected a "Return on Investment" !! It is easily a conservative guess that these 625 Wolves have cost over these many years as to make each one of the 625 worth $ 250,000 each !! This is without considering the elk, deer, other Wildlife, and Domestic stock they have eaten. Yellowstone Park is an example: 20,000 elk in 1993 down to 5,000 in 2011 with now 100 Wolves counted. Good luck Yellowstone Elk !!!
This Bird is just another "Spotted Owl" excuse to regulate !! So please use caution, and require an "Economic Impact Statement" along with the "Environmental" and "Endangered Specie Act" !!!
Lynn- Obviously, your comments of "Corporate Welfare Cattle Barons" tell us what side of the "fence" are on. In response, I can only say you are right when you say the land belongs to "all" and not just the Grouse either. Food for thought and consideration. Did the Spotted Owl own all the Forests in the Pacific North West ??
