There goes the small farmer and the farmers maket !! geezz !! what next ?? Down with Government regulations affecting the smallest lof economies !! Dose this effect the Marijuana growers too ?? They will probably get an "Exception and Subsidies".
Mr.Wiener a City Councilman sounds like he thinks the Goverment of Missoula should tell other people how to run their businesses. A big goverment control like Mr Obama is not very popular now ! Coal has been using that railroad for decades and now that we have increased the flow of coal, its a problem to him. This Coal is in the interests of Montana economics and the rest of thr country (USA) economic picture, and he wants to stop it !! People have been using coal in MIssoula for decades before to heat, and cooking in homes and businesses . In regards to the health of missoula residents I don't remember any mass die offs that Enviros predict. I remember young children having the weekly chore of taking a "Gunny sack" on eacj side of the railroad to pick up any coal that fell off the cars ,and bring it home in the depression years!! The Enviros ,(as I understand) have put dosimeters out already to collect the so called damaging chemicals in the air from passing coal cars and only found a small amount of particulate material that was only a "insignifcant minimal health particulate" !! Yet it dosen't seem to shut up people like "Wiener". He should go work for Obama ?? By the way, it's your choice to live close to a railroad business center.
A word of caution and food for thought for this posting of Mr. Vandevelder's is that we presently have estimated, in the Yellowstone Eco System, some 5000 elk and almost 100 wolves. The Elk herd was estimated at 20,000 in 1990 when wolves were introduced there in 1990. A 75% reduction of Elk population in 23 years. My last information on Money (Tax payer dollars), spent on this repopulation of wolves effort has made the Wolves in Monatna alone , worth almost $5,750.00 each let alone the fact that each Elk they ate were produced by hunter and citizen paid dollars !! The Grey Wolf is a beautiful animal, a top of the food chain carniverous predator that came into the misfourtion of being in conflict with a society of ranchers, farmers, hunters, and ordinary people with guns. They must be strictly controlled if they want to exist. I'm betting the Yellowstone eco system will find out that a healthy wolf population will only exist if the Elk and a healthy food prey exist for them . I'm betting both will turn faultry in 5 to 10 years, if left to natural co-existence.
In addition, dosen't our Fish and Game, and Forest Service use helicopters to survey, stock, capture, and ect to ensure good Forest management and wildlife management in this area. Does this ruling restrict those temporary flights also ?? This is a case of over regulation and is an insult to most of the public's intelligence. These type of people are followers of thie eco terroristic days of the Earth First, Spotted owl, tree setting, una-bomber days. These type and culture of people were responsible for the shut down of the whole Forest Product Manufacturing Industries in all of the Pacific Northwest since the !980's !! I'm glad judge Malloy made them think responsibly if thatis possible.
As feared, the environmentalists using their 503 tax deduction dollars for non-profit status to argue under the "Wilderness Act" non-motorized rules meant for ground based motorized equipment in the true wilderness areas want to stop a helicopter fly over to repair this dam. This dam as I understand it is in need of repair and is located in borderline or out of True Widerness country boundaries..This rule should not apply to air flight or buffer areas of wilderness.Enviros use this as a tool to get their favorite environmental Judge Malloy to support thi,er overzealous, oversited, ambitions to lock out any activity in our forests. In addition, it was meant to ban ground related motorized equipment. Does this mean we can't even send in a Helicopter to respond to an emergency? To fight fires ? The failure of these dams will cause more environmental damage to fish, stream beds and habitat than a temporay flight to deliver maintenance repair supplies. Where is our logic? We some how need to counter sue the use of these tax deductible dollars and check out the status of these 503 groups titled " Wilderness Watch" and "Friends Of The Clearwater" We all know what is "true wilderness" is. The next thing will be our back yards will be out of bounds !!!
This senseless Murder who shot two Native Americans who gave him and his buddy a ride ,killed both because "he wanted to see what it felt like to kill someone". He should not be let out or given any consideration at all. He has had the benefit of long term acess to law libraries, has his bedding changed, three meals a day, daily exercise, parole hearings, and medical care to name a few. These costs are supported by our tax dollars at as I once heard from California's Govenator at a cost of $35,000 a year. That is not Montana's cost but if it is anywhere near it's too much and he is breathing my air. 30 years times $35,00 equals around 1 Million dollars of our "Big Sky" air. He has had his share and his plenty of legal chances !! Cast the vote Govenor, and put this to rest !!
Ya Gotta go Figure ! Most of the votes for or against anything are slanted towards the populations of big citties and States with more people, right ? So most heavily populated areas who have high crime and gun deaths are for any thing that controls guns. So it's supported by non-gun owners in big cities. IE: City of Chicago killed 500 plus in 2012. ! Thats 1.5 people killed a day !! Additionally, if people would research (and I ask you to) ,you will find we passed The 1968 Gun Control Act In Jim Brady times. Its a case of everything we do to laws, make'em and don't enforce them!!!!! That Act specifically spells out no guns to criminals and mentally impaired people !!
