I'm not a food snob. I try to eat healthy, but I'm not above taking in a burger now and then. Those who don't like fast food joints opening are spitting into the wind There's nothing to stop them unless their business model becomes outdated. If we are going to have fast food we might as well have some diversity. I didn't vote for Denny Rehberg. But this is not about politics. I wish him well in his business.
I remember being in a Ron Perrin political theory class with Eric near the time the Indy started up ("Liberalism and It's Critics," I think). I'm glad his dream is still alive in Missoula, however many transitions since (dreams are like that). I'm glad to see he's still doing good things elsewhere. I enjoy the Indy. It's truly one of the gems that makes Missoula the place I love.
Jamie was a real gem of a writer for the Missoulian. It's sad to see him go, but may only better things come his way. As a former print journalist, I worry about the future. The electronic cyber media, cable news etc. are a lesser source of news, with questionable credibility.
