Re: “Slaps on the wrist for Polson police officers Wade Nash and Cory Anderson

Hear ye all!!!! Come to Lake County Montana! Commit felony crimes and work in law enforcement! The state of Montana has set an even lower standard, if that was even possible..........

Re: “Lake County Sgt. Dan Duryee resigns amid allegations of misconduct

Looks like he's gonna go work in North Dakota, earn some big bucks for Halliburton. Guess all those years of him rough neckin out in west Texas will come in handy. Oops, he didn't do that either...............

Re: “Amid allegations of corrupt cops in Lake County, Montana wrestles with how to police its police

Why on earth would Missoula Chief Muir not want the POST Council to have full authority to investigate officers independently? Simple, its obvious that Chief Muir must have a few skeletons in the closet that need to stay buried. Could it have anything to do with the fact that Detective Mark Blood perjured himself in district court on the Gonzales trial last year? Don't expect the Missoula County Attorney to pursue perjury charges against him either, just more good 'ole boys. The filth from Lake County is spreading south..........

Honest cops who have done nothing wrong have nothing to fear from an independent professional standards licensing council. Its time Montana wakes up and puts in some checks and balances in our system of government.

Re: “Above the law

To Rachel Rae – An officers job is not in the realm of right and wrong, its in what is legal and illegal. The realm of right and wrong is for judges and juries. If you were arrested 3 times on private property for DUI, then you had to drive your car there to get there. I’m glad that you have come to terms with your issues of DUI and are dealing with them in a positive light. I can say with experience, that the court system, especially in Lake County, is not fair. For you to be sentenced to 17 yrs for an addiction vs 5 years for a violent crime is not appropriate either.

As stated in a previous post, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Its people like you, calling their congressmen, the attorney general, posting comments, and keeping this subject alive, will ultimately cause change. Change is needed and has been needed for some time. There are officers out there with ethics, that will not sell out their souls for the likes of these criminals. It’s so sad to see that some folks out there are willing to accept unethical behavior of an officer, just because he is still out doing the job. That on that basis alone, we should support them absolutely. We should demand more of our civil servants. The facts here are indisputable; these officers have yet to be held accountable for their actions. With help from people like you, keeping this subject on the front burner, positive change will occur. Thanks for your support.

Re: “Above the law

No matter what your opinion is with this mess in Lake County, no one can deny this is only the tip of the iceberg. As a Law Enforcement Officer, I pray that Bullock will do the right thing and actually perform an investigation. Unfortunately, it looks like he is more interested in saving face and running for governor. There is one last stop:

http://www.justice.gov/crt/about/spl/polic…

Talk about history in the making, look out Lake County, perhaps USDOJ is on its way. Now won't that be interesting, can you imagine USDOJ stepping in and running the Lake County Sheriff's Office? Perhaps thats exactly what it needs, a complete and thorough house cleaning, starting with Jay Doyle. If your reading this Jay, come out from hiding under your bed, do the right thing, resign. Your in over your head, and it obviously is only going to keep worse, as more and more surfaces. You can't hold back the flood of information any longer.

Re: “Above the law

This is a total travesty of justice, a total failure from the AG’s office, all the way to the bottom rung officer on the street. For Bill Barron to state that there is a difference between a .10 BAC and .093? What the h*** has he been smoking? These guys are in complete cover-up mode. You should also read: http://www.flatheadbeacon.com/articles/art…
which came out last week in Kalispell. To hear Doyle in the Beacon, “Golly gee wiz shucks guys, I just got off the bus last week and I didn’t know any of this stuff was going on…………” Don’t let Doyle fool you, he was Undersheriff during the Larson “Regime”, and Lieutenant during the Barron “Regime”. If is looks like a dead animal, smells like a dead animal, chances are it’s a dead animal (to those of you in Lake County, no pun intended). And if you’re a poacher/criminal and a cop in Lake County, you can get away with murder, just ask Steve Bullock.
