My daughter and I (and her three kids) rented from PPM for four years, after having already rented the same place for four years previous to that time, from Grizzly Property, with whom we had developed a good, trusting relationship.
PPM treated us like trash, even though we paid our rent on time and were good tenants. We also experienced the monthly threat of extra charges which were unwarranted and unreasonable, though we managed to stay a step ahead of PPM throughout this time. After a full eight-year tenancy, they made demands that were the icing on the cake for us and we decided to leave there and rent from our favorite management company. PPM sent us a bill, stating that they were keeping our entire deposit AND charging us $1500.00 extra, including the costs of carpet cleaning (they are required to REPLACE the carpet after 5 year tenancy) and repainting. So, in effect, we are being told that we have to pay for something that they're required to do at their expense, not ours. This was in June of this year, and they turned us over to collections when we didn't pay it. My advice to anyone who wants to rent in this town is to steer clear of these tools. They'll screw you over.
Good job, kids!! Proud of you!!
"Republican Rep. Art Wittich has emerged as one of the most vocal of Jonathan Motl’s critics, claiming Motl is using his position to unfairly target conservatives across Montana."
First of all, Rep. Art Wittich just LOOKS like he's got a bat in his belfry; Secondly, it's impossible to "unfairly target conservatives" across Montana, since anything you say about them is far too kind....
Tess; Excellent article! We moved to Missoula seven years ago, and the worship of "The Griz" has been overwhelming. The good ol' boys club here is, in my opinion, the real problem this town faces. Time for the paradigm to shift...
Dan; Because of you, there's coffee all over the front of my shirt, and my family is in stitches. Proud?! :P
I wonder if this guy has ever put time into protecting abused women and children. If he really wants to be a hero, he should offer his free time to the YWCA women's shelter.
Seriously? They'll stick this woman in jail if she continues to peacefully protest these corporate criminals, but child molesters don't spend one day in the slammer? How f#%$#! up!
