Montana always has had the Best Politicians your Money could Buy!
I am a homeless veteran, don't drink or smoke, stay clean(you know, soap, shampoo clean) most of the time and most importantly, you won't find me downtown unless I have business down there. That being said, if I see someone hangin' and they hit me up for change politely I give what I can spare. What they do with it is none of my business. When I was living down south on my boat I used to sign an off ramp, dealt with the sneers and jeers, but I had my best luck with a sign that said "Disabled Vet-Have Food and Shelter, Need BEER!" Most of the time it took me less than 30 minutes to raise $20. I was lying, I used the money for gas and food and boat supplies but if I tried "will work for food" everybody assumed I was a lazy liar anyway! I agree with Ripper on this though, the Chief should stick to enforcing laws instead of helping bought-off politicians engaged in legal robbery. How much taxpayer $ was wasted defending 423? Add the Plaintiffs legal expenses to that because the State lost! Instead of wasting more millions on the failed War on Drugs we need to invest it in harm reduction. treat the disease instead of cover it up.
It will take a lot more than $$2 Billion$$ to make things even w/Halliburton. That would cover about the first 18 months of operations in Iraq. They're STILL overcharging us in Iraq and Afghanistan 10 years down the road. Let's not forget, right now there are 220,000 Americans in Iraq, spending American taxpayer dollars restoring their infrastructure. Now Obombem' wants yet another war? after telling us last night, in effect, we'll have troops in Afghanistan for another 10 years, even I am getting a bit discouraged with him. As usual, George, you hit the nail right on the head!
until we quit incarcerating our citizens for an illness things like this will continue to happen
reads to me as if he has FACTS spelled out pretty well. Or were three examples not enough?
Re: “Nobody wins”
I am just sadly disappointed that our Governor lacks the same testicles his predecessor had. The THC/DUI law just enacted flies in the face of sound science and common sense. The VETO brand should have made an appearance. I hope he will show more courage in the future.
