I am sooo very glad someone is finally taking notice of this crime. My name is Jennifer Ornduff and I lived at Pinehaven from Feb 1993- May 1998. I was forced to miss a lot of school in order to shovel cow manure, or snow in freezing weather(to the point my fingers burned) and do rock pile. Rock pile is when you lift rocks( some small some so big it hurts to move it) in to a wagon, then forced to run behind. You unload it, then run behind it back to the field to do it again. If you stop to rest even for a second, they punish you for being lazy.
I was pulled down stairs by my hair once, forced to shower with others watching& to kneel on my knees using only cold water from the faucet. When the shower was over my house "dad" threatend very loudly to smell me to make sure I was clean. I WAS MORTIFIED AND SCARED. All I could do was cry.
Even when have fun at the annual waterpark day, you feel a sense of fear that you will look at the opposite sex "the wrong way"(meaning in the eyes) and be punished and humiliated. God forbid if you happen to be gay. You life will be hell on earth. This kind of torture and humiliate can not go on. IT MUST BE STOPPED!!
