I don't think there is anything "lax" about Utah's conceal carry laws. It is far more strict than most states and that is why the reciprocity carries over to more states. Also it doesn't make any sense for Washington State to not recognize Montana's conceal carry permits when here in Washington we have "shall issue" the same as Montana does. Wyoming would not recognize my Washington State conceal pistol license either. These laws are a nuisance and should be eliminated. Why do I have to pay money and receive "permission" in order to exercise a basic constitutional right in the first place? I am able to open carry in virtually any state without a permit, yet in order to conceal the firearm I need a permit? This is just ludicrous. I propose we enforce the constitution and challenge these infringements on the second amendment.
