To clarify, 64 percent of University of Montana School of Law test takers who took the July bar passed. If one includes the February exam, when four UM alum took and passed the bar, then the overall 2014 passage rate for UM graduates was closer to 70 percent.

Thanks for your comments, Montana Home. To help clarify, here's a snippet from an email sent by Dallas Erickson to the Montana Legislative Services Division on Jan. 24:

"So in other words, the goal of this ordinance is to make sure there is an additional charge for anyone who rapes in a deviate sexual manner or who has deviate sexual relations with an adult, a child or anyone who has not or cannot give consent."

Thanks for your comments, Thinker. I didn't get into the specifics of the family's 2005 lawsuit and two subsequent changes in ownership, because it would have consumed a healthy slice of the story and, I felt, detract from the subject of how property taxes are impacting folks in the Flathead.
