Kevin Wooley and Samantha Robinson, students from the Missoula College Culinary Arts program, make measurements to carve a second “2” out of a 300-lb. block of ice Dec. 31, after learning the first one melted the night before. This is the program’s eighth year carving ice sculptures on the courthouse lawn for the First Night celebration.
