Humane Society Of Western Montana's Spay/Neuter Clinic
After surgery volunteers place cats back in their carrier's where they are to remain until they wake up. While coming out of anesthesia a common side effect is low body temperature. To combat this, a microwave-heated rice bag is placed near the abdomen to keep them warm.Image credit: CATHRINE L. WALTERS
