Who said one voice doesn't matter?
It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me to bring infectious diseases and the people carrying them to Montana. This is where you'd go in the movies when things get out of hand.
But in the movies there's always a few stupid scientists that mess everything up, poke themselves, or generally destroy civilization.
Remember, though, these guys have PhD's so they can do no wrong.
Clark is just a poooooor loser !
One is, the other is poor loser. Indicative of what is wrong internally in the Sherriff's office.
It's unfortunate we live in a country where these things have to happen.
And these guys are law enforcement officers !
In our anthropocentric paradigm, we all too often underestimate the intelligence of "lesser" (?) animals.
Which reminds me of one of my favorite Calvin and Hobbes ---
Calvin : "I just sharpened my fingernails so they're like claws !"
Hobbes : "But mine are retractable."
Calvin (with defeated look on his face ) : "Sigh ! No wings, no prehensile tail, no compound eyes...sigh !"
Funny and not so funny, these arguements were the same ones when they were trying to decide of blacks should be allowed in white bathrooms.....
I think this transgender thing is just stupid. If you’re a man, you’re a man. If you’re a woman, you’re a woman. No law, city ordnance or crying in the papers is ever going to change that. It’s just political pandering to the masses.
I agree, alf - if no one is hurting me, I don't care. If they're hurting themselves I don't care. Let people do what they want so long as it doesn't hurt others.
It's not just in Billings, Greg. Ignorance breeds predjudice, and unfortunately they seem to be universal human traits. Ignorant, prejudiced people are everywhere. Language, nationality, race, economic or social status seem to make no difference.
Why can't we just live and let live ? Our gender, gender identification, or sexual preferences are no body's business except ours and our partner's.
Why don't we just say it? People in Billings are homophobic, hateful, and on the wrong side of history.
It's long past time for congress to adequately fund the Forest Service, BLM, Park Service, and the other federal land management agencies, and for those agencies to greatly reduce their reliance on private contractors. It's way past time for those agencies to return to doing the routine, day to day management and maintenance by in-house, "force account" crews, the way it was done so successfully for so long, before Bonzo Raygun and his stooge, then Forest Service Chief Dale Robertson began the shift to contracting and privatization.
Be thankful you don't have humidity.
This is a perfect example of why the Independent is the best paper in town. Kudos to the staff.
Best article of the week. O to be a bolo-festooned ex-governor. Romney, from a "polygamy
commune in Mexico", that's almost art. My old friend Stan down in Woody Creek,Colorado
would have enjoyed that one so much he would have stepped out back and shot the tail feathers off his best peacock. Dream on, hockey fans. It's all the-ay-ter.
People don’t hate Congress but rather they hate the job they are doing, which by the way is nothing.
Well, alf, Schweitzer was going after Feinstein and Cantor, two idiots in Congress. Thankfully we won't have to look at one of them anymore pretty soon.
What does people hating congress have to do with Schweitzer's quixotic run for pretzeldunce ?
People hate Congress.
