Re: “There's a reason they call them land 'lords'

Well Paul,I do not feel like using the power of the State to guarantee your investment or to collect money for you.. You already have a priveledge in the choice of renters. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.

Re: “Standing Rock and the lessons of Andrew Jackson

Let the oil flow through the safest pipeline ever built in the USA. By the way, if you were at Standing Rock and talked to protesters there, you would have found out that the vast majority of them have no job, they suck off the government (taxpayers) via welfare, medicaid, food stamps, section 8 housing, etc. Or they still suck off their mommy and daddy. For the most part, the majority that were there really don't contribute anything to our society. Mostly takers who look at protesting as a big party with lots of alcohol and drugs. Others who are bored and want to make themselves feel good by protesting for something. Don't believe it?? Show up at the next one and find out.

Re: “Standing Rock and the lessons of Andrew Jackson

So if we let a pipeline be finished after jumping trough all the hoops of the EPA, etc. and having it approved, we are disrespecting the Indians?? Really? They are being mistreated??? Here on the CSKT Reservation the Federal government spends about $23,000 a year on every tribal member here. While our Lake County budget comes out to only $980 per person. Doesn't sound like mistreatment to me, and on top of that they get job preference by being a tribal member, and full college for free if they take advantage of the programs offered. And more perks for Natives that would make you jealous. Who's really being mistreated??

Re: “Zinke pressed by opponents of bison refuge transfer

Zinke is in the pockets of the CSKT Tribe and they brown nose him beyond belief, so I am sure Zinke WILL MAKE SURE the Bison Range is GIVEN to the CSKT Tribe. They will then make him an Honorary Tribal member

Re: “There's a reason they call them land 'lords'

perhaps the author here should look into how utterly helpless a landlord is when having to deal with the "tenant from hell" and how complicated it has been legislated recently for a landlord to evict someone. months it may take, all the while the landlord is not receiving income from his investment.if both tenant and renter would do the right thing, there woulkd be no need in legislation, but alas someone is always getting screwed, so bring on the laws and penalties. after all they have been earned

Re: “Housing plan coming up short of affordable

Did you know that Missoula taxes have gone up 95% over the past 12 years? The last year we didn't see a tax increase was 2010.

Even if you find an affordable house to buy (and not just rent), you'll have a heck of a time paying both your through-the-roof mortgage as well as your tax bill...which is the highest in the state, by the way.

Re: “A cut too far: UM offloads annual Easter egg hunt

Cut out the dead wood - it's time to get rid of high-priced admin positions...permanently. There are too many, we don't know what many of them do, and they in no way benefit students.

You mean the Mayor cutting the ribbon at the Old Sawmill opening was just affordability theater? Color me shocked!

Re: “Housing plan coming up short of affordable

All these grand plans and the most simple thing is now impossible. Missoula as a city will never be affordable for regular working class people in the future. It was not so easy when my wife and I were in our 20s. It is way harder now and it will only get worse.

Re: “The drama triangle

Absolutely wrong. This crime knows no social boundaries, period.
The male bias in this town is criminal.
A women beats her boyfriend with a hose. He bleeds as the police tell her she can stay home without arrest, but is charged.
A man calls the police to remove his violent ex-girlfriend from his home and is arrested because the little sociaopath tells the police she FEELS afraid of him. The police audio is missing the man's testimony as well as the witness who sided with the guy who called Police???????

What??

Then the gal keeps comimg but his home which he can be arrested for so he calls the police and shorlty afterward his home is raoded for all electronic devises, he is held as a flight risk on a 3 day weekend when the Prosecutor is aware is attorney is out of town???

No charges were filed in the last incident. Pure harassment for calling the police as advised by his attorney.

An equality needs to be administered in domestic violence situations or no justice will ever be served.

Re: “A conservative group put UM historian Tobin Miller Shearer on 'Professor Watchlist.' To Shearer, the threat sounds awfully familiar.

Hyperbole much? Lol....typical of people who dont so much "reason", as "feel".

A 'watchlist' put in place to EDUCATE students and their families about where they may, or may not, want to invest their education dollars is NOT the "same as what Hitler did!", or "the same as what McCarthy did!".

Nor is it, as far as I have seen, "a hate list".

Now, you may have gotten disagreeable feedback because of methods/beliefs EXPOSED by the notoriety of being listed on that website. But is that not similar to feedback left throughout comments section's of websites, or social media itself?

Not to mention, of course, the infamous SPLC website. Which left-wingers have heralded for YEARS as "doing great work to call out the intolerant among us".

Well, shoe's on the other foot now, Prof.

And hilarity ensues.... ;)

Re: “No good answers

Guardian ad litems cover up crimes just like this one against babies all the time and judges protect them which is a crime. Why? Because most GALS are mostly lawyers and use desperate abused women and babies to serve thier larger clients. One loss for a desperate abused woman and child sacrificed to give a win to the better paying customer even if that better paying customer is a pedophile woman and child abuser. Clerk of courts is free to research cases. So everyone should educate themselves. Then contact the victims and explain they can report the truth to the ODC which investigates low life attorneys like this. Then report their findings about the judge to the judicial standard commission.

Re: “No good answers

Report to the FBI. Thousands of cases eerily similar exist because the judge abuses power protects the guardian ad life me and lawyers because they get caught operating outside the law and misleading the court for the simple reason of making back door deals for other cases they have with each other and preserving that chip in the pocket for the rainy day, The proverbial "owe you one" next time around. Who gets hurt? Girls babies and women so the lawyers can line their pockets and judges protect their friends. Public corruption is what it really is and every case needs to be reported to police FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THEY'LL DO NOTHING and that color of law violation for protecting the lawyers which are a whole other back door deal - the make reports to the FBI and pray to God the Feds raid the courthouse clerks office with buckets of extra handcuffs.

Re: “Montana deals with its antiquated laws on rape

Better late than never. It still amazes me how none of the real criminals in the case involving the rape by the Grizz football players ever went to prison. I can think of a few police, lawyers and MSU administrators who should be in prison today for their obstruction of justice during the rape in question. Some times I have to believe that until vigilante justice comes back into style the criminals in charge will still remain in charge even with the new laws in place. That is just the way our government works. It is sad but true the worst offenders of our civil rights, constitutional rights, and human rights falls directly on government officials federal state and local. Kind of like the fox guarding the hen house. Nuff Said
