Re: “Need a hug? Lauren Venaglia wants to sell you one.

Gee. They used to call this "prostitution". Feeling "loved" and "comforted" for a price.

Re: “Leading by example: How Missoula Rep. Kim Dudik did Montanans proud in Helena

Dan, is this more of your satire? LOL Add this to your "Islamophobia" rhetoric:

SURPRISE! Im baaaaaaak. LOL

First you have Mark Twains description of Jerusalem under Ottoman Muslim rule:
Rags, wretchedness, poverty and dirt, those signs and symbols that indicate the presence of Moslem rule.

Then you have Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Ali A. Rizvi

Re: “Missoula is dead. Long live Missoula.

I would appreciate it if some of the Merc construction workers would set a small pile of bricks outside the construction zone so residents can pick them up as souvenirs. I'd like to put a couple in my garden.

Re: “Wilderness advocates settle in for the long game

Forest Service plans remind me of EPA Superfund sites. They take years and then nothing ever really gets done anyways.

Re: “Attorney to the cars John Bennett fights to saves the 1 percent's 1 percent

The real problem here is that with commodity and energy prices down, the state is desperate for money and and will look wherever it can for it.

Most people suffer because of this.

Meanwhile, the state has a quarter of a billion in long-term bonding debt and a surplus of about $200 million.

Please remember we don't run governments like our households. That would make too much sense.

Re: “Are UM buyouts a 'win-win-win'? Not so fast.

A lot of these faculty can't retire because it'd drive their cost of insurance up. It's why so many professors 'retire' and then come back a semester later to work part-time. It saves them hundreds if not a thousand dollars or more a month in insurance premiums. Then it's just waiting to hit 65 and Medicare age.

So...how's that going to be addressed?

And if Dudik wanted to run for and win the Attorney General race in 2020, how would she do it?

Re: “Pat Brook has nothing against beavers, but Hurricane Katrina forced his hand

People have been trapping beaver in Montana for over 200 years and it never came with a "hefty price tag."

And it won't. Simple metal traps and float sticks - just like the members of the Lewis and Clark Expedition used - work just fine. Let's continue to use those, and my goodness, let's get that $14,000 cost down.

Many Missoula residents don't make that much in a year, and to hear that the city is spending so much to prevent a naturally occurring animal from doing what comes to it naturally is absurd.

Can you imagine if it cost that much back in the early-1800s? Well, Montana wouldn't be here today, it's that simple. The only industry we had for the 60 years before we became a territory was the fur industry. So please, let's get those costs down.
