Re: “Slaps on the wrist for Polson police officers Wade Nash and Cory Anderson

Wow all of you need to get a life. I do believe that those Lake County officers just messed up that's it. One is my father and ive talked to him about this and he just said that all he did was screw up so that's it now leave them alone and get off their backs!!!!

Re: “Wyoming coyote trapper defends graphic photos

There is no excuse for ANYONE trapping ANY living being, much less allowing his own dog or dogs to torture it. Regardless of whether or not trapping is a "proven method of animal control", the question is this? Would YOU like to be caught in a trap because it is a "proven method of human control"? I doubt it.

Further, if coyotes ate your dog, or cat, or bird, etc., it is most likely because HUMANS have invaded THEIR territory with construction/destruction, and they are clearly starving. The difference between an animal and a human is that an animal only kills when it MUST and believes it has no other choice. Humans kill simply to kill.

Re: “Moving forward

This is a tough decision that no one wants to make, but I think the parole board made the right one.

Re: “Book party tonight: Bryce Andrews asks the tough questions on wolves and modern ranching in his memoir Badluck Way

I just finished the book a few minutes ago, shifting consciousness from the snowy, subzero photos to this warm, sunny CA morning. The book is superbly crafted in a style that is Tom Groneberg (who writes one of the book jacket endorsements) meets John McPhee. I have pushed cattle in Montana and currently work on a 250 acre ranch--a mere back 40 to the Sun Ranch's vastness--and will always think of the wolf-elk-cattle drama in "Badluck Way" relative, and not entirely un-analogous to, our daily matches of heron and coyote against ground squirrel and deer. I hope Andrews will write another book very soon.

Re: “Happiest Hour: Happy Meals at the Silver Dollar

I still miss Thirsty Thursdays and the $5 wristbands. That place was hoppin' back in 2002 or so.

Re: “Missoula Parks and Rec removes bike jumps from Rattlesnake gravel pit

We could have a lot more infrastructure, including more than 1-mile worth of funds for our 250 miles of roads in the city, if the mayor and the city council would stop spending so unwisely and start using financial reason.

Re: “Centurion Ministries responds to Barry Beach clemency denial

I have a feeling Montana will continue to function just as it does now with Beach out of prison.

Re: “Did Schweitzer just kill the whole "Schweitzer 2016" thing?

I love how the media makes assumptions like this. How does this hurt him, how does this help him? Who does it help him with? Lots of people don't want to vote for Hillary.

Re: “Did Schweitzer just kill the whole "Schweitzer 2016" thing?

Poor, poor political media :(

He was going to run to become a hero to Hillary haters, pretend progressives and the entire political press corps who has been pushing him to run in interview after interview.

I have a friend, a great political media mind and fighter of the left, who went from DC to work for him in 05 and he said Schweitzer even back then planned a Presidential run one day .

Big ego, big plans.

Ooops! Thats now done!

(The "Clinton Curse" has taken another deserving "victim" :)

Btw, My friend loved Montana, ended disgusted by Brian, gone in a year.

Re: “Wyoming coyote trapper defends graphic photos

What a pathetic excuse for a "man". I hope you felt really tough torturing animals. So glad my tax dollars go to pay your salary you piece of dog shit. I hope you end up in prison and makes lots of new friends there.

Re: “At the MPG Ranch, a watchful eye on the wild

The Picture of a poacher was me! I did not shoot this elk! I was never fined. They said I was trespassing but there were no markings no posted areas at the time this was caught on camera. The elk was shot on Jared Bauers property when it ran across a hillside and fell at the bottom of the hill. It was retrieved just across the fence line and it was also opening day of elk season. It wasn't poached !!! Trespassing... Yes they caught me on camera! Don't even think about hunting by MPG ranch. I wanted to clear the air for those who do know me. Also I was with my father that day. They fined him and took the elk. Now the area is posted clearly. Also don't trust all GPS systems as they can be off over 100 feet from a property line. I know have checked many locations since. Make sure you have a good one. If we would of known we would of called mpg ranch and asked permission to get the elk!

Re: “Missoula County pays $189,000 to settle allegations against Partnership Health management

Interesting. After having worked with the top paid plaintiff at a different employer and knowing that myself and others faced the same kind of things she's getting "reimbursed" for, I find it quite ironic that she received any money. But, that goes to show you that some people have a conscience and some do not. My first reaction is, "How dare she" and yet those who were negatively treated by her could have filed a lawsuit too, if they had chosen to do so. What is sadder is the fact that some people make the work place negative for others. It only takes one bad apple to spoil the basket. I know that the atmosphere where I worked previously with her was not an atmosphere of happiness but an atmosphere of hostility, inconsistency in training and treatment, unethical, and negative. Money will not take away the pain of how she treated me and others nor will it take away the injustices done to her. Maybe her conscience will come alive and she will see the error of her ways....maybe not. Irony.

“There was a warrant issued for his arrest on May 28.” That was two weeks ago. Why hasn't he been arrested?
