Boot Steppin Amanda refused to debate Daines in Eastern Montana.
Too scared to show up.
Would have been laughed off he stage.
Why would anyone want to debate in lefturn montana.
When Teste and Burns debated in Missoula, the crowd sounded like a bunch of UM sophomore frathouse losers than actual young adults.
They let Teste talk but made noise whenever Burns tried. Yeah, real fair and impartial.
You choose your own lounge room interior decoration geared to a specific design, or perhaps motif. May it be classic, contemporary, abstract or perhaps anything live tv , every single piece of lounge room interior decoration you decide is important for the overall look of one's lounge room.
She should check out the acres burned in the 1910 burn, and the 1930s - kind of makes today's acreage burned appear not so alarming.
The college course Intro to Psychology teaches you to be very skeptical of people who use terms like "many believe" because there is a good chance the person is either being deceptive or just don't understand what they are saying. Either case makes an argument against Tea Party claims of having smart followers to their extremist views.
Thank you Tea party! Many of us stand with you!
My pleasure, Mr. Mirisch - Jer
The sad part of these groups isn't about liberty but about being a republican controlled group. Republicans in general don't want individual liberty or less government. Just remember the Republican majorities during the Bush years when spending increased, the national debt increase and spying by the government on it's citizens increased. I think people should vote Libertarian this year and send those political groups a message that while it's nice to have non-partisan groups speaking out AFP is as non-partisan as Forward Montana who only supports Democrats, while AFP only supports Republicans.
i hope people aren't fooled by the lies in Stacey Anderson's letter. Personhood doesn't interfere with fertility treatment nor miscarriage. Recognizing each human being's right to life only means that it's illegal to kill that human being (with criminal intent or criminal recklessness) from the beginning of life. Fertility treatment is about creating human beings, not killing them so it would be unaffected. Miscarriages are not criminal either.
Government's primary job is to protect the innocent. Just because government is far too invasive in our lives doesn't mean it shouldn't do it's primary job. So, of course, government should protect every human being, even the weakest and most vulnerable, those in the womb.
Perhaps we should ban swimming pools - a child is far more likely to drown in a swimming pool than be killed in a firearm accident.

The statement, "There have been 63 school shootings in America since the Sandy Hook tragedy..." is misleading at best. It appears to be an updated number that comes from a highly flawed "study" from Mayors Against Illegal Guns, an organization that is "for civilian disarmament. This fact escaped a few of their early members; politicians who considered reading the name of the organization sufficient due diligence." They have lost more than 50 members in recent months due to their agenda and lack of credibility.
I am also the parent of two school age students in Missoula. I understand that school violence is a concern in our country and I respect your opinion and efforts to get to the root of this issue. PLEASE consider this...
If a person wants to hurt people and do illegal things nothing will stop them.
I think it could be useful to look at a possibility of another root. What has become of childhood and adolescence in our country? What types of morbid emotional suppression are our children and citizens experiencing that puts them in such desperately destructive situations? Why are so many people suffering from mental health issues and living on nutritionally deficient food and pharmaceuticals? JUST MAYBE... We have created an overly isolating ,intensely lonely and fearful culture. I DON'T THINK NEW LAWS AND REGULATIONS can protect US from this. I am happy that we as a community are talking and looking for solutions regarding this horrific situation in our society.
Here are some substantive comments based on the actual text of the Rocky Mountain Heritage Act. These comments are provided from the perspective of a hunter/conservationist who has spent a lot of time on MT's RMF:
It also should be mentioned that the Montana Outfitters and Guides Association has come out publicly supporting Rep Steve Daines massive mandated logging bill, the so-called “Restoring Healthy Forests for Healthy Communities Act” (HR 1526).
As such I really don’t think the Montana Outfitters and Guides Association knows much about federal public lands policy, or really even has the best interest of our public lands, wildlife, wilderness and backcountry in mind.
Here’s why. In Montana it’s estimated that Rep Daines logging bill (supported strongly by the MOGA) would result in a 6 fold increase in National Forest logging across the state.
These dramatic increases in logging would be achieved by undermining America’s public lands legacy by simply having members of Congress mandate dramatic increases in industrial logging by exempting ALL National Forest logging sales up to 15.6 square miles (10,000 acres) in size each from public input, environmental analysis and gutting the Endangered Species Act.
Rep Daines’ “Logging Without Laws” bill also has the US Congress simply closing the US Federal Court House doors, forbidding any citizen lawsuits on certain types of industrial logging projects, which is inherently undemocratic. Daines’ bill applies to all of America’s 155 National Forests, not just those National Forests in Montana.
You can learn some more specifics about Daines logging bill here:
As a dedicated backcountry hunter myself I believe that some serious changes need to be made to the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act, while Daines’ mandated logging bill should just be dismissed out of hand for all the ways it undermines America’s public lands legacy. Too bad MOGA doesn’t understand these simple truths. Thanks.
I am honestly for a 2 year mental evaluation check for gun holders. And that it is required that anyone with a gun register with the NRA. You fail to do either one, and you are simply denied your gun.
5 year mental evaluation check for people who live with a gun owner.
If Ms. de Pastino would have taken a moment to question her assumption that we are in the midst of an "epidemic of gun violence", she may have discovered that violence is actually at historic lows. Since the early 1990's when "shall issue" concealed carry laws gained traction, rates of violence have dropped 50%. Places were violence remain a problem are "Gun Free Zone" urban areas where citizens still remain unable to carry a firearm for self-defense. Most violence in these areas is drug-related.
Regarding attacks on children in school, since the "Gun Free Schools Zones Act" was implemented in the late-1990s, sociopathic killers have understood that we make our students convenient defenseless targets. It should be obvious to all that defenseless kids are not safe. All defending them requires is allowing staff with permits to carry like they do everywhere else. This will deter the vast majority of cowardly kid killers.
The history of gun control is one of failure. Assumptions that "more guns = more violence" clearly aren't confirmed by the facts. It is past time for Americans to wake up and stop listening to Bloomberg-funded propaganda - and to take responsibility for self-defense. Our kids depend on it.
Good lord, it seems like people these days are offended so easily. I mean, WHO CARES?! In fact, the term Montucky does not have anything to do with Kentucky. It's just a slang term like Pennsyltucky, slang for Pennsylvania. Get off your period already and lighten up!
footloose should have to tell the truth or not be printed. Time and again someone in their organization puts out a lie on a weekly basis to get votes on their ballot box biology which should be illegal in the Montana constitution as it is no way to follow the North American plan that has brought all the wild life, including wolves, to a viable population throughout the country. Some folks think it is legal to allow their dogs to chase game animals, horses, etc., they also don't know it is the law to either have them on a leash if they are not trained to mind and be in your immediate control. These same people run their dogs on wintering deer and elk in closed area because they think they have a right to break the law. I for one will not let someone from a sterile land as Germany, who lives in the Bitteroot tell me and the F&G how to handle our states wildlife
for an objective overview of trapping:
“Over 50” is a small exaggeration. In 2012-13 MFWP reported 50 dogs caught and 26 of those were at large. Another 4 were with owners trespassing on private land. According MFWP 2013-14 reports that number dropped nearly in half to 26. With MFWP estimated 50,000 traps you have a .05% chance of your pet being caught in a trap. It is your own fear and the misinformed information from the anti-trappers that is keeping you off of public lands. “Montana has a proud history of sharing public lands”, but your animal rights activist group wants to destroy that history based off of fear and misdirected lies.
Great letter, although there are a lot of morons that won't get it!
