Re: “John Hoyt's name removed from Wash-Griz Stadium

Interesting story however it does beg a couple of questions;

-Why did it take what seemed like a number of years for the donor to be contacted about taking down Hoyt's name from the field if UM has known about it during that timeframe? I would doubt the donor was "OK" with it!

-What is the threshold for taking down other donor names of buildings on campus when they are replaced or changed? What about names on buildings with names of a person who did not give a dime to the building?

More of humpty dumpty Engstrom and his follies continuing to damage UM. When is enough--- enough with this guy.

Re: “Bigamy's matchmaking answer to Tinder (and more News of the Weird)

I have had some ups and downs when it comes to online dating, not stating that all my connections have ended horribly or that I have had experiences that would deter me. That is not the case; unfortunately in life everything has its perks and downfalls and you just have to roll with the punches. For instance, I was on the phone at atlanta.partyline.com with who I thought was this amazing man, he was smart, funny, sweet, adventurous – the whole nine yards, but it turns out that he lied about his age and was way too young for me, so instead of disregarding him, we ended up becoming friends. I just turned this downfall into a perk because I was open for any scenario, sometimes the unexpected happens and it’s what you do with it that makes it worthwhile. Still, we all have to be careful because we never know who we are talking to.

Re: “Fash the campus

The leader of Identity Evropa is a felon that served time for armed robbery. Such a quality white man. Just the kind that you want as your neighbor... obviously. I'm surprised he doesn't go around saying 'I din't do nuffins'.

Re: “Fash the campus

The reason the posters disappeared is due to a group called 'Missoula Anti-Fascist Action'. They are an offshoot of 'Antifa', a literally militant sect of zealous Communists who have been attacking Trump supporters across the country and here they are instructing their followers to tear down any Identity Evropa signs they see. I have one of their signs as proof of their infringement on the rights of the free expression of others.

Agree or not with the sentiments of Identity Evropa, the actions from the violent Marxists of Antifa are unacceptable in our society - especially Montana. Their group is likely small, but they tout themselves as armed and dangerous. They often wear red and black and carry like flags. If they appear they have no qualms about using intimidation and violence to harm those they feel opposed to. Please be careful around them.

Re: “Fash the campus

I'm a former white nationalist. I am also currently a student at Montana State University. I think people are too worried about alt right millenial pissants. All they are, are beta males that are impotently upset that they can't get women. That's pretty much that whole movement. Crying online because their shitty personalities make it so no one.. especially females.. wants anything to do with them.

If I happened upon their flyers on this campus, I would be one of the first to tear them down. I'm also willing to talk to.. to counsel... anyone that feels effected by these idiots.

Re: “State officials clamp down on UM enrollment messaging

Here are some facts for all to digest; 6 years ago all these figures were just the opposite until Engstrom took over at UM.i

MSU budget for 2016 $225 million

UM budget for 2016 $45 million

2016-17 Enrollment at MSU more then 15,000

2016-17Enrollment at UM less then 10,000

Tuition waivers at MSU for 2017-17 $25 million dollars

Tuition waivers at UM for 2016-17 $12 million dollars

A total 180 since Engstrom took over 6 years ago. Enough is enough with guy it is long past time for him to go.

Re: “Rockies Today, September 14

Going, going, gone...wilderness is a rare and precious thing. It is disappearing fast enough without the collaboration of the Montana Wilderness Association, Wilderness Society, GYC, TNC and the other "conservation" organizations that sell it out for the purpose of their organizational fundraising and the privilege of being invited to the table by politicos indebted to resource extraction and wreckcreational industries. The drain on irreplaceable wildlands is very shortsighted.

Re: “State officials clamp down on UM enrollment messaging

Typically enrollment figures aren't released until the end of the third week of classes. That's when they can count the number of FTEs. End of Third week is the deadline for students to pay their fees. Don't pay your fees, you aren't enrolled. While it is easy to make a big story out of this, the third week date and the release of enrollment numbers has been in place for years. I don't recall this being an issue until enrollment began to decline. Putting out projections and estimates however, is up to the discretion of each unit. I don't think at this point UM should be making projections based on the seeming volatility of enrollment figures. Might be a good idea to do some research to find out why figures haven't been released.

The motto of this news publication is : Western Montana's Weekly Journal of People, Politics and Culture.
That is unless you're White, Republican and celebrate European culture and Heritage. The Bias in this one is strong.
Please show me a publication against any other racial group in their promotion of advocacy for their people, other than White/European, by this weekly journal. That's what I thought...you can't.

Re: “Fash the campus

I agree with the comment right below me! This is terrifying! My Jewish great aunt Esther told me about her trip to America. When she arrived the KKK literally greeted her and spit on her face! They were carrying her to burn her on a cross when some brave Mexican-Americans ran into the crowd and started punching. I swear there were forty KKK Nazis and only three of these macho Mexican men but they managed to split up the group and save my great aunt!

When they saved her, they had a short conversation: "we minorities need to stick together." So true! What we are seeing here is an attempt by REAL White Supremacists (OY GEVALT!) to band together and form a Fourth Reich. We have to stop them! White people do not have legitimate interests - only the desire to oppress and enslave minorities like the Mexicans and like us Jews!

Re: “Fash the campus

I have seen these same posters at shephered university where my son goes to school. I for one dont see all the fuss. These whites seem to want to join together in a fraternal order. And since there is no place that is acceptable due to the current cultural climate, they have to do it in this unorthodox manner. The author has a clear bias
