Re: “Sons of Bill

This actually makes me embarrassed considering I'm from the Big Sky state. Shame on you Missoula independent, for having such a clueless person covering this brand of music. Surely the town of Missoula has some more knowledgeable writers that would be more well versed.

Re: “Sons of Bill

Honestly, this article wasnt as objective as it SHOULD be. Bands should NOT be compared from one another....Although I live in IL, I live southern of the Mason-Dixon line and let me tell you that true southerns, like ANYWHERE else comes is all shapes, sizes and yes, even sounds...

Re: “Sons of Bill

I agree with above. Sons of Bill has a much better sound than Drive-By Truckers. Terrible article and review. Do you listen to ANY other Southern rock bands besides Drive-By Truckers??? Curious.....

Re: “Sons of Bill

Love and Logic is Sons of Bill's fourth record, not second. Perhaps you should look beyond Drive-By Truckers for what it means to be Southern. You purport that being Southern is tantamount to being offensive, a claim which I find, for lack of a better word, offensive.

I too had the privilege of being a student of Dr Freedman.
MoMa trip was a great college memory...my first trip to NYC. Dr Freedman inspired me. I'm an art teacher now and going to grad school for art ed. Thank you Dr Freedman. Cat Coughlin

Brea really approaches that non-dualistic in-between place. I love her for that! Jon Austin

Re: “Hell holes

While some of the film was a stretch, a tiger vs. a Sherman, and the battle at the crossroads. I don't believe you and others understand the point the film was trying to convey by use of the two other scenes you mention and the other scenes you omitted in your review.
