Re: “There's a reason they call them land 'lords'

All contracts should be honored. If an issue arises between landlord and tenant it should be a civil matter. Since the government has overstepped it's bounds and and took the landlords authority away from him by allowing deadbeats to remain in and damage peoples investments, as Paul said, sometimes for 3 months without rent being paid, then I would have to say that the same government should damn well be the debt collectors for the landlords they have wronged.

What part of "breach of contract" do you not understand???

Re: “Activists employ 'necessity' strategy in pipeline trials

I wonder just how many gallons of that terrible oil was burned taking the useless idiots to the 4 states to upset commerce over bogus global warming bull crap! Not to mention how much fuel they wasted keeping warm and cooking. I don't believe there is any mountain of stupidity that is too high to climb for the save the earth group. Hope the man spends all 10 years in prison with a homosexual cell mate named Bubba.

Re: “Who'll pay, and how much, for Montana's coming budget cuts

Jeezus H.! MT is getting more and more like Idaho, and look where idaho has gone : anywhere from 40-something to dead last out of the 50 states in virtually every category of spending on human/social services, education, transportation, etc. And with that comes the shitty, low paying jobs, with few if any benefits - A connection that the morons in the idaho legislature, and apparently Montana's, haven't made.

The author of an op-ed in the Idaho Falls paper a couple weeks ago quoted Mark Twain, saying, "No man's life, liberty or property are safe when the legislature is in session." How true !

Re: “John Hoyt's name removed from Wash-Griz Stadium

I hear that when you give a million dollars for the field field to be named in memory of a life long donor, you should be pacified with 9" x 12" plaque and hung on some obscure wall. Until the foundation thinks it can sell that wall space... or Denny Washington has another bout of insecurity and demands it be taken down.

Re: “John Hoyt's name removed from Wash-Griz Stadium

Enrollment numbers prove that parents aren't willing to trust the University of Montana with their youths nor their monies.

If a million dollars can't buy you a few gallons of paint and recognition for 50 years of support and numerous other large dollar donations, a $100,000 certainly won't buy an education.

Given any opportunity they'll sell your student out, just like they did the memory of John Hoyt.

Maybe a refund is in order to Cliff Edwards who thought enough of his friend to anonymously give a million dollars so that John would be remembered... the check's cashed, the foundation has forgot.
