Re: “A conservative group put UM historian Tobin Miller Shearer on 'Professor Watchlist.' To Shearer, the threat sounds awfully familiar.

Hyperbole much? Lol....typical of people who dont so much "reason", as "feel".

A 'watchlist' put in place to EDUCATE students and their families about where they may, or may not, want to invest their education dollars is NOT the "same as what Hitler did!", or "the same as what McCarthy did!".

Nor is it, as far as I have seen, "a hate list".

Now, you may have gotten disagreeable feedback because of methods/beliefs EXPOSED by the notoriety of being listed on that website. But is that not similar to feedback left throughout comments section's of websites, or social media itself?

Not to mention, of course, the infamous SPLC website. Which left-wingers have heralded for YEARS as "doing great work to call out the intolerant among us".

Well, shoe's on the other foot now, Prof.

And hilarity ensues.... ;)

Re: “No good answers

Guardian ad litems cover up crimes just like this one against babies all the time and judges protect them which is a crime. Why? Because most GALS are mostly lawyers and use desperate abused women and babies to serve thier larger clients. One loss for a desperate abused woman and child sacrificed to give a win to the better paying customer even if that better paying customer is a pedophile woman and child abuser. Clerk of courts is free to research cases. So everyone should educate themselves. Then contact the victims and explain they can report the truth to the ODC which investigates low life attorneys like this. Then report their findings about the judge to the judicial standard commission.

Re: “No good answers

Report to the FBI. Thousands of cases eerily similar exist because the judge abuses power protects the guardian ad life me and lawyers because they get caught operating outside the law and misleading the court for the simple reason of making back door deals for other cases they have with each other and preserving that chip in the pocket for the rainy day, The proverbial "owe you one" next time around. Who gets hurt? Girls babies and women so the lawyers can line their pockets and judges protect their friends. Public corruption is what it really is and every case needs to be reported to police FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THEY'LL DO NOTHING and that color of law violation for protecting the lawyers which are a whole other back door deal - the make reports to the FBI and pray to God the Feds raid the courthouse clerks office with buckets of extra handcuffs.

Re: “In Billings, an armed vigilante drives hard bargain at Penney's

If Newman wants to carry a gun and arrest suspects why doesn't he join local law enforcement?

Re: “Montana deals with its antiquated laws on rape

Better late than never. It still amazes me how none of the real criminals in the case involving the rape by the Grizz football players ever went to prison. I can think of a few police, lawyers and MSU administrators who should be in prison today for their obstruction of justice during the rape in question. Some times I have to believe that until vigilante justice comes back into style the criminals in charge will still remain in charge even with the new laws in place. That is just the way our government works. It is sad but true the worst offenders of our civil rights, constitutional rights, and human rights falls directly on government officials federal state and local. Kind of like the fox guarding the hen house. Nuff Said

Re: “Sheriff's office investigating fraudulent county commission letter pulling support for refugees

WOW! After almost a year, another comment? With a link to a well written commentary from 2015? As far as wearing a T-shirt with a Mohammad cartoon printed on it in Missoula now, in 2107, still no fear. Being openly gay? Same. A woman walking around in "provocative" clothing? Same. But keep an eye out for subtle changes. Like this recent announcement the the media isn't "announcing". NOTE AS OF 8:06 am 3/16 KGVO only source of story, printed, never announced on air.

Montana Elena for Liberty & Open Government Could it be that now Missoula and the UM have become more "diversified", an Easter event may be disturbing to people of another cultural flavor?

Easter Eggstravaganza

The University of Montanas flagship campus in Missoula produces an educated, aware and trained citizenry for the state of Montana and beyond. In addition to educational and research endeavors, UM is an integral component of the Missoula community, providing a gathering space for all Missoulians.
The 2016 Easter Eggstravaganza is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, on the UM Oval.

I have the same question Montana Elena has.

I'll add one more: So what ever happened with the investigation of the "fake letter", the subject of this Indy article ?

Re: “Sheriff's office investigating fraudulent county commission letter pulling support for refugees

Would you wear a T-shirt with a Mohammad cartoon printed on it?

You might in Montana. Dont try it in Mecca.

Why?

Re: “No good answers

Maybe some of the SITTING PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS SHOULD BE SEXUALLY ABUSED so they can understand what it is like to be sexually abused.

Good article. That is the Bob Giordano I know. Cares more about others than himself. What a great operation Free Cycles is.

Re: “In Billings, an armed vigilante drives hard bargain at Penney's

Most of Dan Brook's "stories" are satire. And usually, compared to real satire, not that good.

Re: “In Billings, an armed vigilante drives hard bargain at Penney's

Satire on -- if everyone packed heat and went around shooting at imaginary misdemeanors, it would do great good towards human population control...great good if enough of us (the right kind of people) survive it.

Satire off -- James Newman's sanity and ability to posses any kind of fire arm, including toy bows and arrows and sling shots, responsibly and safely, needs to be evaluated ASAP before the innocent suffer in his attempts to kill suspected shoplifters.

He was flinging lead across a shopping center parking lot at a car driving away from him -- there was no threat to Mr Newman. It would seem that James Newman tried to play god because he had a gun in his hands. An attempted murder charge against Newman would be logical, but this is no longer a logical America.

Re: “No good answers

Maybe some of the victims could run for political office so they can help the public understand what it is like to be sexually abused. I mean from the stand point of recovery and future potential of the victims. Obviously, this kind of crime will never cease to exist or stop happening because it is reprehensibly too human.

Re: “In Billings, an armed vigilante drives hard bargain at Penney's

Well, Pam, I'm sorry if I made a mistake in thinking that the author meant what he wrote -- but it is hard to recognize "satire" when the article is no more ignorant that much of what gets posted by much of the rabidly "pro-gun" media online. You might note that you are the only one (so far) who has assumed the author intended his comments as satire.

No cheaply made chinese garbage from Penneys is worth killing someone over.
This is more of a case of MYOB.
Don't risk your life or some innocent bystander over a fake leather jacket or some socks...
Just sayin...

Tom Currie, while you're looking up the word "impeccable," please also take a peek at "satire."

I was a 40 year old first time snowboarder, and the folk at Board of Missoula taught me the ropes. I am so happy that Bacon is living this dream and so happy Board of Missoula is back!

Re: “Board of Missoula returns to its roots

Chris Bacon and Edge of the World have always been a support for the young teenagers and young adults in this town. Giving them a safe and secure place to hang out and skateboard. My son is the wonderful man he is today partly because of the influence of Chris Bacon. I hope and pray for your continued success Chris.

Re: “In Billings, an armed vigilante drives hard bargain at Penney's

I think there are laws against discharging a firearm inside most city limits. The story should have read "Man with poor marksmanship skills lucky he didn't kill an innocent bystander. Shows even worse judgement." Devildog do you remember JJDIDTIEBUCKLE?
