Re: “Leading by example: How Missoula Rep. Kim Dudik did Montanans proud in Helena

Dan! Are you serious? You think a Missoula Democrat has success because she introduces "necessary, practical bills"? Dudik is a known self promoter who carries Republican water. She stands front and center at Tim Fox press conferences. Why don't you ask the staff who work for the public defender's office how much like Dudik's many bills to gut their office. Ask the ACLU. Ask her Democratic colleagues. What a joke. Dudik votes for resolutions supporting burning coal. She is successful because she is very conservative. You will never hear her standing up to their right wing nonsense. The word at the Capitol is that she is already touting her interest in running for AG in 2020. Good luck with that. Gary Marbut almost beat her last election and it would be his to win to go after her again before she launched herself on the rest of the state. Puke.

Touche, Dan, Touche and job well done!

Although, I could go for never having to change my clocks again. Doing away with daylight savings time is not a bad idea, and some researchers who study sleep would agree. I would propose falling back one half hour, nationwide, and never change our clocks again.

Re: “Missoula is dead. Long live Missoula.

I personally know many Broadway business owners, and off the record, they supported the demolition. History is one thing, but everyone wanted to save the Merc, but nobody seemed to offer any solution nor funds to do so. History is amazing, but if you talk to those that had worked in the building the last few years, it was poorly maintained. That building had a shelf life and unfortunately it expired.

Re: “Missoula is dead. Long live Missoula.

Asbestos abatement is very expensive and time consuming when you are working around old construction that needs to be saved and restored. Once it became a demolition the asbestos abatement becomes much easier and cheaper as you contain it as you go. Always looking for a conspiracy and something to be mad about. I can assure you the crews working took great care and removed the asbestos properly as they are the people who will be affected the most by not doing it correctly!

Re: “Leading by example: How Missoula Rep. Kim Dudik did Montanans proud in Helena

It is nice to see a person of good conduct and with the scope of a community orientated person to be in our legislature. We have had (and do have) some real goofballs representing us, and I'm still trying to figure out how they all get elected.
Kim did a grand job looking out for the people of Montana and I applaud her for doing so.
I don't know about my fellow Montanans current bent on politics in the State and Nation but I will say that I am fed up with the Gangster Politics of the Republican Mafia... they are an embarrassment to the whole country, it seems that they forget that we are all Americans and we need each other to stay healthy and prosperous as a nation... something the Koch Cartel has fed to the extreme right wing... it is pathetic and our State is suffering from the same demented politics. It is high time we said stop it and start putting country and the people first rather than forcing the world to our way of Democracy because it ain't working, and we are becoming more of a dictatorship than a republic. Look around. Let's change!

Excellent column and a good shout out, Dan.

Is it just a coincidence that all the nonsense-BS bills Dan cited were introduced by repuglikan pukes? Me thinks not.

I'm surprised that for taking her job seriously and trying to do real work, address real problems, that Ms. Dudik wasn't formally censured or reprimanded by her "colleagues".

We (nationwide, at all levels, not just in MT) need a whole lot more public officials like her and a whole lot fewer of the type Dan pointed out in his column.

Re: “Missoula is dead. Long live Missoula.

What I have not understood the whole time they were tearing it down, was the main reason they cited for the need for demolition vs. remodel was that asbestos abatement would be too expensive... yet when they tore it down there was NO containment that would be necessary with asbestos.... So... they lied... or a lot of construction workers and downtown folk are going to be in a bad way in a few years..

Re: “Missoula is dead. Long live Missoula.

to be a vibrant, living city, I think you need to respect history and the wish of the community. Those were completely overridden in the name of progress and profit. These do not necessarily create vibrancy. Dismissing our past, not respecting and honoring our past, is not making it a "living" city. They do not have to be opposites.

Dan, is this more of your satire? LOL Add this to your "Islamophobia" rhetoric:

SURPRISE! Im baaaaaaak. LOL

First you have Mark Twains description of Jerusalem under Ottoman Muslim rule:
Rags, wretchedness, poverty and dirt, those signs and symbols that indicate the presence of Moslem rule.

Then you have Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Ali A. Rizvi

Re: “Missoula is dead. Long live Missoula.

I would appreciate it if some of the Merc construction workers would set a small pile of bricks outside the construction zone so residents can pick them up as souvenirs. I'd like to put a couple in my garden.

And if Dudik wanted to run for and win the Attorney General race in 2020, how would she do it?

Re: “Governor Bullock prepares to commit legicide

Ok, my bad. I should not have mentioned incestuous relationships even though they are out there, and girls are being impregnated, and I should have said "people" and not "men" because there are some truly uninformed women out there also. And Dan, really? Life begins across a crowded room? From now on I'm not making eye contact with ANYONE. It could kill me. Literally.

Re: “Governor Bullock prepares to commit legicide

In regards to HB 595, I just cannot believe that the men who are running things in the House are really, truly ready to throw women back into the dark ages. What are you gentlemen going to do when YOUR daughter, wife, niece, is raped and impregnated by a monster? I like your column Dan, but come on....across a crowded room life begins? From now on I'm not making eye contact with ANYONE. It could kill me. Literally.

Wow. I just cannot believe that the MEN who are running things really, truly, want to send women back into the dark ages. What are you gentlemen going to do when YOUR daughter, niece, wife, or the incestuous relationship you are now hiding, is raped and impregnated by a monster....? I like your column Dan, but come on, really? HB 595 needs to be rejected and put in the trash can where it belongs.

Re: “Governor Bullock prepares to commit legicide

Right, we are not all Christians. Get involved...good idea. Think I'll call the legislators today. No wait they're gone. What's today? Maybe I'll call Congress? No wait...they're gone. And here I thought there was separation of church and state. " illegalise sperm"? What a novel idea! But then I wonder how transgender men will get their "wives" pregnant?

Re: “Governor Bullock prepares to commit legicide

Santamonious blather award. When are you people going to figure out we are not all Christians and we have separation of church and state. But hey I heard Syrian refugee children could use some help being saved. You could sign-up for that and actually make a difference. You know because they are non fetus form children in immediate peril and suffering.

Oh what's that I hear? Crickets? Yea that's what I thought. Save it- no pun intended.
